Not snowing first thing but resumed by the time we were due to set off. Hilary opting out after a bad night.
Tried to dissuade people from going up Super |Morzine yet again but failed. Instead waited for the shuttle train until someone said it was only running to the main road, then again before deciding to totter over to the lift. Later discovered the service was suspended because of bad weather.
Did Proclou once, then Sue decided she'd stop. David escorted her to the old telecabine while the remaining four of us set off back down Proclou. The Bettses failed to appear at the bottom so Chris and I went back up thinking they might have opted out.

29 January - Day 5, Snowed Off
Heavy snow all day so scared off from skiing. Hilary also not feeling well having caught my cold.
Hilary and I did nice walk towards the Cascades de Nyon, picturesque route alongside the river.
Met up with the others for a trip up Super Morzine to a very cosy restaurant.

Back for siesta before rejoining the folk for the evening entertainments and food. Still Snowing. Lively scene for the walk back.

28 January - Day 4
Very bad night. Feverish, sweating, up at 3.45 trying to cool off. Fitful sleep afterwards so not feeling at all well in the morning.
Promised sunshine had returned though so set off to Super Morzine, The Howells and Chris wanted to potter about so we abd the Betts did some good runs, Les Lindarets, Corbe de Floret etc. Sheila skiing much better and keeping up pretty much,
Met the others at a small restaurant near Baron, very cosy but very busy. Had to wait 10 mins for a table but then a good meal of veg soup. Clouds closing in so thought that was it for the day but then they dispersed.
David H stayed with us for some lovely runs in bright sunshine down Zore and Tetras, snow very good apart from a few bare patches at the bottom. Headed back at 3.45 meeting the others at the Tourist Office. We went back for a shower and rest before going to theirs for evening meal of chicken curry.
Excused myself at 8, feeling washed out and ready for bed.

27 January - Day 3
Snowed all night, in fact from early yesterday. Dinner at the others' below, followed by film 'Salmon fishing in the Yemen'.
Suggested it would be best to delay our start for an hour or so, and joined them soon after 11. Cloud showing signs of lifting but still murky.
Went up Pleney and did short runs down to Nabor for a while, then across Belvedere to a chci restaurant where they sent upstairs to a large cosy table which we shared with five other people. Tagliatelli for me, salad for Hilary, with a bit of sharing.
Looking a bit brighter after lunch, which take quite a long time. All went down Crocus but the ladies found it difficult because of combination of soft snow and icy patches. They went back up Golf while David B, Hilary and I went down to Les Gets and up Chavannes express. Closing in a bit so returned via Bruyere to the Golf chairlift, then down Piste B. Bit challenging because of nervous people and conditions but safely down to join the others for a drink beside the Pleney telecabine.

26 January - Day 2 of skiing
Overcast but milder. Up soon after 8 and at the Francois Baud boot room for 9.30, meeting the others.
Went up Pleney but the three other ladies found it very difficult going across to Les gets because of icy slopes. Cries of 'this is the last time I'm coming skiing' from Chris. Better as we got lower, and good conditions between the top and bottom of Tete des Cretes, so did this a couple of times. Then Hilary and I did the complete run down to Les Gets after taking Chavannes Express, back up and to Le Yeti restaurant at the half way stage. Good lunch of steak hache for me, soup for Hilary.
Sue and Chris decided to get the bus back from Les Gets but the rest of us went back to the top, and down Bruyere to Pleney. David H and the Betts went down on the cable car while Hilary and I skied down Piste B. Hilary then stopped and I did one more run from the top of Pleney.
Yesterday's group pic.

25 - January, Day 1 of skiing
Awoke to overcast skies but signs of the cloud thinning. Soon becoming very clear and sunny but cold and a bit windy.
Met the others and got the hire skis and boots. Sheila wanted to go to Super Morzine so we prepared to catch the shuttle only for David B to find he didn't have his ski pass. Waited for him then made way over to the set of blue runs on the way to Avoriaz. Nice snow but cold on the ski lifts. my hands got cold so started a couple of hand warmers, which partially did the trick.
Stopped for lunch at the top of Proclou, eggs, rosti and salad for both of us, big portions. Lost Hilary as we were about to set off. Eventually got her on the mobile and she'd set off down the slope to the left of the button lift, thinking we'd gone that way when in fact we were waiting not far from the restaurant. Told the others to do their own thing and went off to find Hilary. Did Les Lindarets then a couple of times back down to the top of Super Morzine. Nice conditions but occasional ice patches.
Stopped eventually just above the SM lift, for vin chaud / orangina.

24 January 2015 - Skiing in Morzine
Civilised start because pick-up wasn't until 9.45
Nobody at check-in and flight away a bit early. Snowing at Geneva and a half hour wait for the bags to appear. Found the courier but had a slow drive because of some very cautious drivers ahead.
Checked into Chalet Leslie apartment and settled in, cup of tea etc, before walking to the others' apartment not far from the Tourist Office.
Spag Bol dinner then early departure to get an early night. Sky clearing so good hopes for the weather tomorrow.
